The quality of IJRNC is pretty high, and the review speed was inexplicably negatively correlated with quality. We usually chose this after our group’s papers on the direction of control algorithms were rejected by TAC or Automatica. I personally think that it is at the same level as SCL. Three months for the first review (major revision) and nearly 2 months for revision; 2 months for the second review (minor revision) and nearly 1 month for revision; it was accepted 1 month after the return. In the aspect of IF, artificial intelligence booming nowadays, this time-honored journal about control seems to be neither good nor bad. I hope that IF will reach 4.2 in 2020.

There is no need to say more about the quality of International Journal of Robust and Nonlinear Control in the field of cybernetics. I only submitted an article which has been accepted today. It was a bit hard to believe because things went very smoothly. The timeline was as follows: 16-Feb-19 Submission, 25-Apr-19 Major Revision, 23-Jul-19 Returned, 06-Sep-19 Accepted. What impressed me about the acceptance are as follows: 1. The initial review was very fast. I had five papers submitted to different Journals, of which International Journal of Robust and Nonlinear Control was the fastest. 2. The number of reviewers may not be representative of my situation. The major revision was only a reviewer's opinion. It depended on your luck with reviewers. My reviewers are nice, and they thought that the article was excellent in theory and innovation. They just expected to add experiments, add references, and explain some parameter problems. It had been revised for a long time because major revisions had been made for several articles. It was accepted within a month and a half after returning it for revision. My tutor said that reviewers must have been added. But I did not see any review comments, even minor revisions. I am not sure how many reviewers have reviewed my article. 3. The editor was very nice. I was in the mistaken belief that I submitted the article under a special issue at the beginning. But our school does not approve the special issue. I asked the editor. The editor was very friendly and quick to reply that my article was submitted as a regular issue article in the system. The editor was very helpful throughout the process. Perhaps the journal places more emphasis on mathematical expression and theoretical innovation. Very good experience. I will submit to International Journal of Robust and Nonlinear Control if any achievement in academic research.
