The manuscript was submitted at the end of April. Three days later, the editor-in-chief said that there are too many authors, and the number of authors was limited. We submitted it on the same day after the revision, and then one week later it was assigned to another editor from the editor-in-chief, where it took another week before it was sent for review on May 10. The comments of the first review returned on June 10, and the three reviewers required minor revisions. It took half a month to revise it, and it was submitted on June 25. It then was sent for review on the same day. After the second review returned on July 19, the first and second reviewers agreed to accept it. The third reviewer still had three questions. After 5 days of revision, I submitted it on July 24 and it was sent for review on the same day. On the morning of August 15, my supervisor called and told me that the article was accepted. I'm really happy. The journal is very fast, and the review comments can usually be returned in about a month. The editor is also very nice. I wish the journal better and better.

The manuscript was submitted on April 2nd. The first review was completed on May 2nd. The first review decisions were sent back on May 23th. Four reviewers required major revision with many comments. I was given one month to modify. I didn’t upload my revision until the day before the deadline. I received the second review decisions in a month. Three reviewers had no comments, but the first reviewer put forward a lot of new comments. The editor still required a major revision. The major revision lasted nearly three weeks. After the revision was uploaded, the rejection email was received on September 22th. The first reviewer said that there was a problem with the boundary conditions of one of my models. In the second round of major revision, I had confirmed that this setting had no influence and other papers had the same setting. And I also provided those papers. Unexpectedly, the article was rejected because of this issue. The editor was not friendly. In this case, why the editor didn’t invite a new reviewer. It's a waste of time and energy to make two rounds of major revisions but without acceptance. What a deceptive Journal!

The initial submission to the most relevant journal, Tribo Int, was rejected because it had already been done by someone else. After significant revisions, the manuscript was submitted to IJMS, only to be rejected by the editor within an hour for lacking scientific value. After days of searching for a suitable journal, I found that IJMHT was somewhat related and decided to submit there. The first round of reviews involved five reviewers, with two accepting to review. After half a month, the reviews were still not returned, prompting the realization that one reviewer may not have understood my research direction. The editor then added eight more reviewers, with three accepting to review. The total review process took a month and a half for revisions. Despite the editor's suggestion for minor revisions, the 46 questions raised by five reviewers, including three positive, one negative with over twenty questions, and one rejection, required a detailed response of over thirty pages and 10,000 words, almost equivalent to the main text. Thankfully, the manuscript was eventually accepted, a truly challenging journey. I hope everyone submitting their work has a smooth experience, and I look forward to seeing this journal return to the top rankings soon!
