CCF C series journal, an authoritative journal in the field of information retrieval. I thought publishing in C journals was difficult than some CCF B journals. A total of 4 reviewers gave with more than 50 review comments. The paper only was 25 pages in total, and the revised manuscript was 30 pages. Based on the review comments and recommended references, it can be inferred that the reviewers are experts in my own field. It is estimated that the editor is going to make this journal a leading journal in the field of information retrieval. The latest IF is 2.535.

The journal seems to have been renamed to Discover Computing, a fully open access journal. However, after the name change, it is usually considered a new journal, so the Impact Factor will be recalculated, and the ISSN has been updated to 2948-2992.

I submitted once and it took 6 months to be directly rejected. The quality of the reviewers was not commendable; they provided subjective opinions and the overall cost-effectiveness was not high. Later, I resubmitted this paper to CCF B journal, made minor revisions, and it got accepted. I suggest that if you have good results, it's better to aim for CCF A journals first. If not, you can consider submitting to some CCF B journals instead, without wasting time on this kind of journal.
