This is the first SCI paper during my master's period. It took so long for me to remember to comment here. It was submitted to ANTIMICROBIAL AGENTS AND CHEMOTHERAPY in October 2018, and the editor said that it did not match the scope of the journal. It was recommended to be transferred to Infection and Immunity (IAI), and we let the editor help to transfer it directly. After 23 days, the review comments were returned. It was accepted, but a qPCR was required. The experiment was supplemented and it was submitted, and then it got accepted after 5 days.

Did no one submit to this magazine because the pay was too low? Submitted on September 17, 2024, received minor revisions on October 22, given 60 days, I procrastinated too much, and returned on December 17. Asked a database question on January 3, received a response on January 5, and was accepted on January 14. It was too fast. If I hadn't procrastinated for two months, it would have been accepted in about a month and a half.

In addition to addressing the concerns raised by the reviewers, the editor requested additional experiments and suggested resubmitting the revised manuscript after completing them. After completing the experiments and uploading the revised manuscript as per the suggestions, it was accepted within 48 hours. The speed of the re-evaluation indicates that the editor likely accepted it without further external review.
