AIEDAM: Artificial Intelligence for Engineering Design, Analysis and Manufacturing is a journal intended to reach two audiences: engineers and designers. Scientists who view AI technologies as powerful means for solving difficult engineering problems tend to read research published in this journal. Researchers in AI and computer science who are interested in applications of AI as well as in the theoretical issues that arise from such applications should publish in AEIDAM.

Artificial Intelligence for Engineering Design, Analysis, and Manufacturing

This journal publishes original articles on important artificial intelligence theories and applications, based on the latest research in various branches and stages of engineering. Suitable topics include: analysis and evaluation; selection; configuration and design; manufacturing and assembly; and parallel engineering. Specifically, the journal is interested in the application of artificial intelligence in planning, design, analysis, simulation, qualitative reasoning, spatial reasoning and graphics, manufacturing, assembly, scheduling, numerical analysis, optimization, distributed systems, intelligent agents, collaboration, cognitive modeling, learning, and creativity. AIEDAM is also interested in original, major applications of state-of-the-art knowledge-based technologies to important engineering problems. We are pleased to announce that as of December 2, 2024, all articles accepted for publication in AIEDAM will be "open access"; published under a Creative Commons license, and freely available to read online (for available license options, please see the journal's "open access options" page). We offer an OA option to every author: the cost of publishing open access will be covered by an agreement between the publisher and the author's institution, paid from grants or other funds APC, or fully waived, to ensure that every author can publish and enjoy the benefits of OA.
