Recently, I submitted a research article which has just been accepted. It was for a very prestigious journal in the field of genetics, with highly professional reviewers who asked very sharp questions. The formatting requirements were indeed very tedious, but the submission experience was great! Due to the impact of COVID-19, the initial review took about one and a half months. It required major revisions and I was given three months to complete them.
