The first draft, about a month, seems to have not found a suitable associate editor. I wrote to the editor-in-chief, and the editor said that he would find one immediately. Then the AE is in place. The reviewer's level is not good and the question asked is irrelevant. Less than a day after the revisions, I saw a competitive article in the American Journal of Human Genetics. So I wrote a letter to the editor with a sincere message, hoping to speed up the review, and I received a notice of acceptance in less than 24 hours. After one year, the citation rate (which is cited) is about twice the impact factor.Recently this journal is biased towards ecology.
