The number of corresponding authors for SCI journal papers is not necessarily limited to one, and there is no fixed standard for the specific number. This is because different SCI journals have different policies regarding the number of corresponding authors. For SCI journals that only accept one corresponding author, if the paper lists multiple corresponding authors, the first corresponding author will automatically be selected. For SCI journals that accept two corresponding authors, two corresponding authors can be listed. The same applies to other requirements; the number of corresponding authors listed by the authors must comply with the regulations of the target SCI journal. The first author of an SCI paper is the person who made the greatest contribution to the experiment and writing of the paper, and is the person whose name appears first in the list of authors. However, in collaborative work, it is common to have joint first authors. There is no clear regulation on the number of joint first authors, and it depends largely on factors such as the workload, length of the paper, the regulations of the publication, and the recognition of the institution. Generally, it is most common for an SCI paper to have 2-4 first authors

Experience sharing: The review process was very slow, with no review fee involved. I submitted in April 2018 and received feedback from the first reviewer in October 2018. I communicated with the editor throughout this period, who was very friendly. I then waited for feedback from the second reviewer, and in March 2019, I received their feedback. After making the necessary revisions, the article was accepted within a week. The publication fee in China was over 14,000. This was my first SCI article, and I believe the wait was worth it
