There were three experts, their comments were professional, and hit the nail on the head. The experts gave unanimous affirmation due to the highly innovative topic selection which made up for domestic vacancy. It was accepted after major and minor revisions! The overall feeling is that the reviewers are strict, the experts are professional, the papers are highly innovative, and the papers with greater impact can have a try.

The first submission was in June, and after four weeks, the overall comments of the three reviewers were positive. The editor gave a rejection and resubmit (two-month period). Revised, applied for a one-month extension; returned revisions in early October, received the results in early November. Only took 4 weeks. Reviewer 1 still has minor concerns, and reviewers 2 and 3 recommended acceptance. The newly added reviewer 4 gave some comments. Overall positive, and the return was made in mid-December and received directly after 5 days. Very good journal, quick review, strict editorial process, high peer recognition. Definitely a top journal and worth a try. Good luck!

The submission process has been bumpy, here is a record:
August 2, 2024: Submitted
September 26, 2024: Revised and resubmitted, with two reviewers requiring additional validation results and some text reorganization
November 20, 2024: Resubmitted, currently under review

I have previously submitted to GCB with a trial mindset, but the results were not very good. This manuscript was submitted to several sub-journals before, but ended without any progress. The journey with GCB has also been difficult, hoping for a smooth process for the manuscript in the future.
PS: GCB is still considered a "white moonlight" in my heart, being able to have one accepted can bring joy for a long time.

The flagship journal in the global change field should be the top tier among both the main journal and its sub-journals, with many articles coming from the sub-journals. I was fortunate to have an article accepted, and the process was very fast. The first review took a month and a half for major revisions, and the second review took three weeks before acceptance. It took just over two months from submission to acceptance.

In my personal opinion, GCB places a strong emphasis on the novelty and interest of research. The research should have global significance, and they are not very picky about details. 

The best part is the speed - I have noticed that articles published online on their website are usually accepted within six months from submission, which is much better than journals like AFM. 

Overall, it is a very authoritative, high-level, and fast-paced journal. Articles with strong innovation and significant impact are worth a try.
