I just received the acceptance notice. It lasted for five and a half months and went through two minor revisions. This is the first SCI paper during my master's period and the second SCI paper that got accepted. Although it has taken nearly half a year, I still feel very lucky for it being accepted. However, personally, I think what I wrote mainly focuses on theory and simulation, which was still a bit unworthy of AST (AST has become a TOP journal, and there is an excuse for bragging). Although it was accepted, I still need to know my capabilities clearly and strive for much better and more veritable results. It is hoped that the predecessors and peers who submitted to this journal can quickly get acceptance.

2019.07.22 Submission. It was returned the next day for adding five self-citations and changing to the single column; 2019.10.30 a major revision was required and 48 days were given; 2020.01.31 accepted; it lasted half a year. My senior female fellow apprentices said that this manuscript is already very smooth compared to those in my laboratory. Comment: I feel that there are many aviation experts in this journal, and they found the reviewers soon; there are four reviewers in total, and their opinions are very pertinent. One reviewer even recommended many high-quality articles to me. They are so professional, which makes me feel that the first version of my manuscript is indeed a bit shit, and it is irrefutable. I made my efforts to majorly revised it and made new innovations during the period. Almost half of the manuscript was rewritten, and a set of comparative experiments was added. In short, I am very satisfied with the smooth submission experience, which has improved my level. The journal is highly professional.

It is now the best journal in aerospace (except for Progress). The article is in the field of spacecraft technology. It took 12 months for the first review, 10 months for the second review, and the reviewers should be experts in the industry. The reviewers not only read the manuscript clearly, but also raised 7 or 8 related hidden issues, which hit the nail on the head. The professional skills and understanding of questions are beyond the reach of amateurs. It was accepted after 10 months of second review. What’s more, this journal didn’t have high requirements for language, and the editor will not be biased in judging the substantive contributions of papers due to language quality issues, which is more friendly to Ph.D.

AST is a decent journal in the aviation field, and the speed of peer review is also very good. Personally, I had a fast and easy submission experience. The review turnaround was extremely fast; the first review was returned in less than two months (major revision). The reviewer was professional and is also an expert in the industry. Their comments totaled 6 pages. I carefully revised my manuscript according to the reviewer’s comments. I didn’t get my second peer review until one month later. In general, the peer review process for this journal is pretty fast.
