It is my first paper in a Q1 journal. I feel so lucky to meet great reviewers and editors. I really learned a lot in the process from submission to acceptance, which lasted for 4 and a half months. Below was the specific submission experience for your reference. 2019-12-15 Submission. 2019-12-17 Resubmission: There was a little problem with the format. 2020-2-12 Major revision: Two reviewers made a lot of useful suggestions. The editor suggested compressing the highlights, which was very helpful to improve the level of the paper. 2020-3-21 Minor revision: Reviewer 2 suggested to reorganize the discussion results, and also made some small comments. 2020-4-15 The reviewer already had no problem. The editor suggested polishing language. 2020-4-27 The editor gave good suggestions for revision of the grammar and references in the discussion section. 2020-4-28 it was sent back and it was accepted immediately. I am super happy!

2018.02.10 submitted, and since the editor I chose was not right, had to change the editor twice; Feb. 26 Co-editor in chief assigned to Associate Editor, Mar. 3 reviewer invited, Mar. 5 under review, Mar. 30 ready to decision, Mar. 31 decision pending, Apr. 13 revision requested; June 12 After the revised manuscript uploaded with editor, June 27 With editor (associate), July 04 reviewer invited--under review, July 15 ready for decision, July 16 decision pending, July 17 accepted. It took a total of 5 months. There were no major issues in the review comments. I took two months to revise the paper. The revised manuscript was returned to the two previous reviewers. Reviewers agree that the questions have been addressed and suggested acceptance. This is my first paper that had only been revised once.

The review process is quite slow. The paper was submitted on October 23, 2023, and accepted on September 29, 2024. After being rejected twice, the editors still allowed resubmission. The third field crop was accepted.
Submission on April 1st
There were two revisions in between, the first revision was rejected by the original reviewer, then a new reviewer was found, and after the second round of revisions with four questions, it was accepted directly after 25 days without being sent back to the reviewer.

After acceptance, there are several papers in hand, and only three are top journals in the field of crop cultivation. It is not easy to find a good job (with high pay) in this field. Hahaha, I don't know what I'm getting myself into, just smiling bitterly.

A benchmark journal in the field of agriculture and forestry must have field observation data for two years or more. Leading experts in the field have published articles in this journal, ranging from high-level to seemingly average.

Last December, I submitted a paper, which was initially rejected for revisions (requiring the separation of results and discussion sections). After making the necessary changes, I resubmitted it. About two months later, I received the reviewers' comments for major revisions. Due to delays in writing the funding section, it took over a month to make the required changes. After resubmitting, it took about a month for both reviewers to return their comments, and eventually, it was accepted one week later by the editor.

Overall, this journal has relatively good reviews, with reviewers paying attention to whether the research approaches the issues from a new perspective. This experience has taught me the publishing norms (focus points) of reputable journals and has been very rewarding
