For the first time, there were 5 reviewers, who required a revision and resubmission, and then it finally got accepted after undergoing one major revision and one minor revision. I personally feel that the speed is ok, but the level of reviewers still needs to be improved, the level of comments raised is relatively average, and the comments were even raised without in-depth understanding of the article, and some were even a little bit incomprehensible. However, we need articles, so we can’t raise an objection.

The article was submitted at the end of August 2018, and it has undergone two major revisions and two minor revisions in the process. It was accepted in April 2019 and went online in May 2019. The overall process was rather bumpy. As the first SCI article of mine, there’re many things I cannot understand and I explored slowly in the revision. The reviewers were very professional with the questions raised in place and very meticulous. In the first round of revision, the experts put forward more than 60 comments, which took two months to reply patiently one by one. It’s better to be humble and try your best to answer their questions. It doesn't matter if you cannot answer them, just be frank to explain for it’s impossible to get every question clear.

My experience with this journal was rough. It was recommended by some folks at a conference. I honestly didn’t feel like my article was good enough for this journal, but I still submitted it anyways. The point of my article addressed a topic that is relatively new, but I guess I didn’t really explain it well. The research is novel, but I was told that the results were insufficient. My paper is now constantly being revised, and the reviewers continually give me new revisions. I have gone through six rounds of major revision. When I edited the paper a fifth time, I basically rewrote the entire thing and overturned one of my original principles. Now it’s finally accepted. This is my first SCI journal. Although the experience was pretty rough, it really opened my eyes about how to write for these higher impact journals. What impressed me the most was that the reviewers were very responsible and offered opinions and suggestions that were helpful. The reviews benefited my research quite a bit.

Not a very good journal, but since it is listed in the school's key journal directory, I submitted my paper to it. What a nightmare it turned out to be. The editor was quick in handling the process, but one of the reviewers made me go through five rounds of revisions. Each time, they would bring up new issues, not building on the previous responses but finding new problems to address after rereading the paper. Submitted in December 2023, accepted in May 2024, with a total of five rounds of revisions in between - be cautious when considering submitting to this journal
