Not recommended! Submitted in January 2024, sent for external review in early February, and then waited anxiously. We followed up at two and four months, and the editor replied that everything was proceeding normally. We felt awkward to push further and thought that since we had already waited so long, maybe it would be soon. By mid-August, with no news, we emailed the editor again, only to be told that the manuscript was sent to over a hundred experts and none had reviewed it. The editor suggested that we withdraw the submission. It's frustrating, a waste of time! During the follow-ups, they could have informed us of the situation earlier, why claim everything was proceeding normally? Those in a hurry to publish should be cautious!
