It took a year and underwent 5 revisions before finally being accepted. There were 3 reviewers, an associate editor, and 1 editor-in-chief, giving a total of five opinions. Review times were quick each time, but the main delay was in the hands of the editor, with a total of 12 months spent in the process of assigning editors and editing. For those in a rush to publish, or those reporting on newly emerging diseases, it is not recommended to submit an article. Instead, it is suggested to submit a dispatch or a letter, which may be faster
