CJ is a good SCI journal, although the impact factor is not high. This is probably because it is not under one of three major publishers. The past editor was very responsible; however, I know that they recently changed the editor-in-chief. The writing requirements are relatively high, so if you’re a non-native English speaker this may be a difficult journal to get published in unless you have submitted to a language editing service. From my experience, manuscripts are generally not sent to the recommended reviewers, and I personally feel that reviewers are often from top dogs in the field. The review time is usually between 3-5 months, so it can be a bit long.
