Review process:
My submission journey began in the spring of last year. I vividly remember submitting my paper on April 1, 2023. The review process was longer than expected, but it also gave me the opportunity to reflect more deeply and improve my work.

First round of review: My paper entered the review process approximately 3 weeks after submission. After waiting for a month, I received feedback from the reviewers, which was longer than expected but the depth and quality of the feedback made the wait worthwhile. The reviewers raised a series of challenging and in-depth questions, requiring significant revisions.

Revision and resubmission: I spent nearly half a month digesting this feedback and thoroughly revising my paper.

Second round of review: After another 2 months, I received the feedback from the second round of review. This time, the reviewers acknowledged my work but had some minor suggestions for modifications. I quickly responded and completed the revisions in just 2 weeks, resubmitting my paper.

Final acceptance: After enduring a long wait and multiple revisions, my paper was finally accepted in November 2023.

Submitting to ERJ is relatively challenging due to the high quality and innovation requirements of the journal. Reviewers have strict standards for the depth and rigor of research design, data analysis, and theoretical contributions. My paper was required to undergo significant revisions in the first round of review, which was a great test of my research and writing skills.
