Suddenly had an idea to email the editorial department in Portuguese, and surprisingly received a reply the next day. They said they were still looking for reviewers and would reply by June at the latest. Received revision comments on June 1st, made minor revisions, addressed a few small issues. Submitted the revised version on June 7th, and it was accepted the same day. Received an email on June 10th to confirm that the proofs were correct. Sharing experience: This journal is still very slow. It has been more than 3 months since submission, and there is no proofreading or any other information. Before, I never received a reply when sending emails, but after sending a few emails, there was some response, such as some minor changes in the paper status. However, they never reply to emails. If you don't ask through email, there will never be any progress. It's a bit frustrating

First submission on 26-Aug-2015, received a reply on 08-Sep-2015 saying the submission process was incomplete, may be missing something. I emailed the editor but did not receive a response, so I resubmitted. This time it was not rejected. Surprisingly, one month later on 12-Oct-2015, it was actually accepted for major revisions. However, after submitting the revised manuscript on 26-Oct-2015, there has been no response for two weeks now. My classmates usually receive feedback on revised manuscripts within a few days when submitting to other journals. I am getting a bit anxious, not sure what to do, should I continue waiting?

Let me share my personal experience of submitting manuscripts. I had read comments from others saying that this magazine was slow, which made me a little worried. However, since my submissions to other magazines had been rejected, I still chose to submit to this one. Before submitting, I sent the abstract of my article to the editor for review. 2 days later, I received a reply saying that it met the magazine's requirements and could be submitted. The submission process followed. First submission: 04-May-2015, review comments returned 25-May-2015, Major Revision; first revision 02-Jun-2015, review comments returned 06-Jun-2015, Minor Revision; second revision 11-Jun-2015, review comments returned 15-Jun-2015, Minor Revision; third revision 17-Jun-2015, Immediate Accept. Overall, I feel that the editors and reviewers of this magazine are quite efficient. They respond quickly to inquiries and, in order to speed up the publication process, the deadline for revisions is only 15 days. This magazine is not as slow as it was said to be before!

One month after submission, the feedback is as follows: After reviewing your manuscript, I have determined that the manuscript is not of interest to the broader readership of Brazilian Archives of Biology and Technology, and we are therefore returning your manuscript without sending it for external review. I would like to inform you that BABT only sends 30% of submitted manuscripts for external review.
