The first review was quite slow. It was submitted in early March, and the results returned in nearly 3 months later. There was only one reviewer’s opinion, and it was sent for review again after revision. After another more than 2 months, there were two reviewers’ opinions (including the first reviewer’s), and only few comments in the second round. They were all about simple format issues. It was submitted after the revisions, and got accepted one month after the "editing evaluation" stage.

This is a classic British journal. Most folks in the field speak highly of this publication and for many years this journal has published influential papers. The peer review process is quite strict, which I’m sure is the reason that most articles published in this journal are high-quality. Recently, the impact factor has declined; this may be because the submission and review processes have become longer (maybe the editor changed?). Regardless, this is an excellent journal that is worth publishing in.
