I never expected this journal to be warned, especially since there are few instances of warnings in the field of economics. However, everything seems to be a coincidence. Last year, the journal did publish a batch of messy papers, which may have been due to collaboration with intermediaries, leaving no way out for self-submitted authors. However, I believe the warning will be removed next year, and I still have high hopes for this journal. (By the way, it is really questionable about the authority of the Chinese Academy of Sciences to issue a warning to this journal, considering that many high-impact journals like Frontiers and Hindawi have not been warned. Additionally, this year, the Chinese Academy of Sciences promoted several Quartile 4 journals to Quartile 1, suggesting that no matter what Chinese people do, it always ends up as a trade-off or a pork distribution.)
