Posted on September 22, 2022, the manuscript status is "With Journal Administrator".
The reference format requirements are very strict, and there have been multiple rounds of revisions. On November 30, 2022, the manuscript status changed to "With Editor".
It has been almost 4 months now, and it is still with the editor.
I have reminded them three times, and each time they said there are too many backlogged manuscripts, insufficient staff due to personnel changes, and difficulty finding reviewers.
Now I am preparing to withdraw the manuscript and submit it to another journal.
