The speed was very fast. The submission was made on the 2nd, and feedback came back in 17 days. After making minor revisions within 5 days, it was submitted again the next day and was accepted.

The first SCI paper of my life is about the related research on improving the thermal stability of polyvinyl alcohol using phosphorus-based flame retardants. The manuscript was first submitted to Chemistry A-A European Journal but was rejected, so it was recommended to submit to this journal. The manuscript was supposed to be finished in 22 years, but unfortunately, it was delayed by an irresponsible supervisor who didn't provide any revisions. After two months of review, major revisions were requested, including nearly 6 additional experiments. After resubmission, it was accepted within a week, despite some twists and turns in the process. Overall, the editors and editorial staff were quite efficient and responsive to any issues that arose. I am grateful to Xuelin Fan, the editor who recommended me to submit the manuscript, and I hope the journal continues to improve and eventually reaches the second quartile. I also wish to get published in even better journals in the future.

First submission to AFM received around twenty reviews suggesting submission to the sub-journal Journal of Polymer Science. Submitted on 23rd October 2023. Due to difficulty in finding reviewers, it took a long time. Received the reviews back on 3rd January 2024, with six comments. Revised on 14th January 2024. Accepted on 16th January 2024 and currently in production
