The BIOCHEMICAL GENETICS editorial department is extremely unprofessional. We submitted our manuscript, waited for seven months and then received a notice of rejection – without any reviews. The reason for rejecting the manuscript was that no suitable reviewers were found…really? We recommended three reviewers when we submitted. In addition, during the first two or three months, we sent the editor emails requesting the reviews. The editorial department simply ignored the emails. After waiting for seven months, we refused to accept the reason of not finding a suitable reviewer. The fact that the publication period for this journal is 1.5 years makes sense. Reconsider submitting to this journal.
