I submitted to this journal in 2016. The first review took 4 months, the second round of review took many months, and then it was accepted. It was slow. I submitted to a special issue, but since it took so long, it was published as a regular manuscript. I contacted the handling editor, whose attitude was very good, saying sorry that it took so long, but since it was a new journal at the time, it wasn’t easy for the editors to find reviewers. A lot of people had their paper reviewed for a long time (I saw that a paper with an academician as the correspondence author also took a year before acceptance). I can see that the publisher is trying to get this journal better and better. Recently published papers show some from submission to acceptance seven or eight months, or five or six months, which was rare before (except for special issues). The other thing is that the typesetting editors of this journal are especially careful and responsible, and will help you thoroughly check and modify all texts that may be confusing to the readers, and the journal will arrange free language polishing. OPEN ACCESS and color figures are free at the time of publication. These are very good, making the quality of your published paper high. Because each issue publishes a small number of articles, from acceptance to publication is slow, but the editor said they may increase the number of articles in each issue.

Overall, the speed of peer review depends on luck. One reviewer delayed for several months before returning the review, and then the editor took another month or two to process it.
