It lasted for 9 months in total. The first review required a revision and resubmitted, and I’m so desperate!!! A reviewer's question was very sharp and required an overall polishing. It took two thousand dollars for Elsevier's official polishing. Fortunately, the result was good, otherwise I would be embarrassed to ask the teacher for money... I submitted two manuscripts to SCI journal, and both took 9 months. It seems that I have no such luck to publish quickly...

It took eleven months! What a deceiving journal. I vowed not to submit to this journal anymore. It is extremely irresponsible. A journal from America... One month to get the decision of minor revision, one day on revising the paper, and the handling editor accepted the paper the next day. Wasted five days at the step of decision pending at the chief editor. Very fast journal.

Returned on 7th May 2025, three reviewers provided feedback - two with minor suggestions and one with major revisions, mostly related to formatting issues but all feedback was positive. The editor rejected the submission outright, which is difficult to understand, and is preparing to negotiate.
Furthermore, colleagues submitting to this journal should be prepared for high risks, as the editor is very picky. Two-thirds of the time is spent in the hands of the editor, and even after wasting time, there is no guarantee of a positive outcome.
