Generally speaking, the reviewers of IEEE Journal of Emerging and Selected Topics in Power Electronics were very professional. One reviewer I met was really an expert. The potential issues and difficulties were raised by him. I didn’t dare to slack off, and took every reviewer’s opinions very seriously. It is not easy to be accepted. Let me talk about the timelines: 2019.10.09, submitted; 2020.02.04, the result of the first review was released. There were 3 reviewers, and major revision was required. Because there was a reviewer who required me to supplement the experiments, but school did not open due to the pandemic, I therefore wrote to the editor, and it was delayed until the school was open and I supplemented the experiments; 2020.06.18, the revised manuscript was submitted; 2020.08.01, the result was released, and major revision was required. One reviewer was added. Two reviewers did not have opinions, but one reviewer emphasized the questions and required me to revise; the newly added reviewer required comparison experiment; 2020.08.27, the revised manuscript was submitted; the result was released on September 27. Two reviewers said that it was well replied, the experiment was sufficient, and they agreed to accept it.

I feel that there were some problems with the review mechanism of this journal. There were 4 reviewers, one of them raised very good comments, and suggested accepting it directly; one of them raised very bad comments, and they were very short, and said directly that there was no academic value of this article; the comments of the rest two reviewers were basically on major revision, which was not fatal. As a result, it was rejected directly. There were only review comments in the notice mail, but no score was given, and there were no direct reviewers’ processing results of the manuscript. I don’t know what did the editor-in-chief in accordance with before giving rejection. It is completely not open and fair.
