Journal Aim & Scope
Case Studies in Construction Materials provides a forum for the rapid publication of short, structured Case Studies on construction materials and related Short Communications, specialising in actual case studies involving real construction projects. Now by popular demand, CSCM has expanded the scope of the journal to also enable longer papers to be submitted for publication. As such, we would like to present two new article types:

Full length research article (maximum 14000 words including figures and tables excluding references)

Comprehensive review papers - by invitation (maximum 14000 words including figures and tables, excluding references).

CSCM provides an essential compendium of case studies for practicing engineers, designers, researchers and other practitioners who are interested in all aspects construction materials. The journal will publish new and novel case studies, but will also provide a forum for the publication of high quality descriptions of classic construction material problems and solutions related to actual projects.

Case Studies in Construction Materials covers a wide range of materials and technology including: cement, concrete, reinforcement, bricks and mortars, additives, corrosion technology, ceramics, timber, steel, polymers, glass fibres, recycled materials and by-products, sealants, and adhesives.

The scope of Case Studies in Construction Materials includes, but is not restricted to, new works and repair and maintenance of the following: bridges, high-rise buildings, dams, civil engineering structures, silos, highway pavements, tunnels, water containment structures, sewers, roofing, housing, coastal defences.

We do not consider papers that focus on structural engineering, chemistry of materials, geotechnical engineering, mining, and soil or rock mechanics.
