Super slow. The cycle of the first review depends on luck. Numerical/ experimental/ field issues are involved. After all, it is a comprehensive journal. The self-citation rate is too high and the article is not as good as people said. The article is of average value. The current review efficiency is very high. The editor is an internationally renowned academic bigwig in the United States.  It took 2 months for the first review and the feedback was that the paper showed insufficient innovation, but they recommended I resubmit. If you have really innovative discoveries, you can submit, but if no real breakthroughs, better not try. The review cycle from submission to acceptance is relatively long. 10 months is normal, half a year if you’re lucky, a year and a half if you’re not. It is well-recognized in the field of rock mechanics and engineering, it has very strict formatting requirements, and its requirements are very high.
