This journal is too slow. I do not recommend impatient students or teachers to submit to this journal. The first submission was on April 9th. After 20 days, I received an email saying there were formatting issues. I made the changes that same day, but it took another 20 days for the editors to start processing. A week later, the status changed to "decision in progress." I have a feeling that it will be rejected, but the rejection letter took another week to arrive. It's too slow, really too slow. I do not recommend it

Experience sharing: Background: Problem-solving ability has been found to be a core ability that nursing students should develop, which plays an important role in career development. Therefore, it is necessary to investigate factors related to problem-solving ability and the path relationships between them among nursing students. Objective: The aim of this study is to identify factors affecting problem-solving ability, and investigate path relationships of them among nursing students. Design: A cross-sectional study. Settings: Department of nursing at a university of Shanghai in China. Sample: A total of 540 nursing students with a three-year education program were enrolled in current study. Methods: Data were collected by using a structured questionnaire including general information, learning engagement, self-directed learning ability, critical thinking ability and problem-solving ability of nursing students. Pearson’s correlation was used to explore the relationship between learning engagement, self-directed learning ability, critical thinking ability and problem-solving ability. The path relationships were analyzed by constructing the structural equation model utilizing AMOS. Results: Our results showed that learning engagement, self-directed learning ability, critical thinking ability were influential factors of nursing students’ problem-solving ability. And learning engagement did not directly influence problem-solving ability. Additionally, self-directed learning ability and critical thinking ability mediated the relationship between learning engagement and problem-solving ability. Conclusions: This study suggests that the need of considering self-directed learning ability and critical thinking ability together when performing learning engagement to improve problem-solving ability of nursing students
