The speed of the review process is unbelievably slow. It took one and a half months for the first review, and after the major revision was submitted, it took two months for a response. There were three rounds of revisions, each time with a different reviewer. There were even instances where the previous reviewer requested additions that the subsequent reviewer requested to be deleted. Both the journal and the editing agency said there were no issues with the manuscript, but each new reviewer would always point out one or two irrelevant issues, such as changing American English to British English. After 8 months of waiting, the manuscript was finally rejected, citing lack of innovation as the reason for rejection
