The first time for submitting to ND. I do research in the multi-agent collaborative control direction. It lasted for 4 months, first review for 3 months, second review for 1 month, then it got accepted. There were two reviewers before and after. 18 Jun 2020 submitted; 12 Sep 2020 major revision; 21 Sep 2020 resubmitted; 27 Oct 2020 accept. Generally speaking, the journal has high requirements for innovation in papers.

Be careful! I have published some articles in other journals before. I want to give it a try to NODY before graduation. From submission to rejection, it took one year. 16 Jul 2018 submitted; 2 Nov 2018 major revision; 1 Dec 2019 resubmitted; 12 Mar 2019 major revision; 20 Apr 2019 resubmitted; 08 Jul 2019 Reject. Although there were a lot of problems during the first revision, I personally felt okay. In the second time, new reviewers raised some sharp questions, but I had to add proofs and experiments. I was so afraid but it finally got rejected. I was not convinced and wrote to the editor in chief, requesting an arbitration, but I am still waiting for the reply. Students who have good papers in the top hands of the second district and have plenty of time can try NODY. Unexpectedly, they give the author three or four months for each major revision.

NODY is a highly professional journal with strict requirements on innovation. The reviewer's opinions are pertinent and objective. The editor handles the external review quickly. His response to the author is a bit lagging but very polite. There’s no limit for the length of the manuscript, or any forced self-citation phenomenon. Our paper is 24 pages long and includes 77 references, none of which are from NODY. The manuscript submitted in October 2018, and after major and minor revisions, it was accepted and online in March 2019. The efficiency is quite high.

Submitted on February 11th, the editor quickly processed it but there were a few missing documents. I had to resubmit. Revised and resubmitted on February 13th. On February 14th, the editor contacted more than ten reviewers. By March 26th, three reviewers had completed their reviews and requested major revisions. I completed the revisions on April 6th and the reviewers did not disappear. Direct acceptance on April 26th. It took two and a half months in total. Overall, it was a great experience for my first paper submission!!!

The first review took 5 months to reject, which is too slow, and the reviewers were dragging their feet. Of the three reviewers, two had no major issues, just suggesting more detail in the introduction and certain concepts. The third reviewer was more critical, emphasizing a lack of innovation. Their feedback was contradictory and illogical, at one point criticizing the depth of the research (which was not even the focus of the study), and then saying the research was meaningless. Their comments on some concepts and formatting were very similar to AI-generated feedback. They suggested my methods were inferior to other literature and asked for a comparison, but I had already compared them and may have missed the differences. It seemed like they were just looking for reasons to reject the paper, making it difficult to evaluate.
