The manuscript was submitted in August 2017 and first review was returned in November with two review comments, requiring one minor revision and one major revision. They hadn’t invited a suitable reviewer after revised submission. In April 2018, a reviewer was recommended as requested. After the recommendation, it was accepted by editor. Personally, I thought this journal cares more about environmental policies than model and technology issues. It was published soon after acceptance.

Overall it's okay. There were three rounds, with the first round being a major revision, the second round a minor revision, and the third round also a minor revision. After the modifications, it was accepted. The feedback was very objective, and most of the issues were well addressed, although some were challenging. However, the reviewer was quite good. Keep working hard and striving.

The journal's impact factor should be good, but it's already April 2022 and I submitted my paper in July 2021, and I still haven't received the first-round review. The reviewing speed is extremely unreasonable, so if you have strict requirements for speed, I suggest being cautious. Even those who don't have specific speed requirements will reach their breaking point. It's been 8 months for the first-round review, an unbelievable speed.
