I agreed with the opinions of the above posters: 1. The reviewers are all authorities, and they pointed out your flaws sharply, which are very useful; but if they were sure of your work, they would not hesitate to praise; 2. The editors worked very seriously, it did not undergo an external review in the first submission, and the two editors directly gave comments and asked me to resubmit after revision. After the resubmission, there was still no external review. The editor changed, he gave comments and I resubmitted it. After the resubmission, the editors gave comments again and then I resubmitted it; after undergoing major revisions, the manuscript was rejected (The manuscript was rejected because the reply was not written properly), (decided to re-process the opinions of the three versions), then it underwent major revision and finally moderate revision, and acceptance. I have to say that every version of the comments was very useful, and I admired the serious attitude of the reviewers. 3. High efficiency, the review cycle was about one and a half months, and the time was accurate. You will know whether the quality of the article is good, when you submit to GJI. 4. GJI is highly recognized abroad (I know it through communication with foreign friends), it is a top journal, but because of its emphasis on methods, the citations are average... Although it took a year and a half in total, and the times of revisions and the amount of revision work was huge, it was worth the effort. The main reason is that the editor is very responsible and the expert opinions are in place, which can improve the quality of the manuscript to a large extent. I look forward to submitting manuscripts to it again.

This journal is very professional, and the review period is precisely one and a half months. After submitting the manuscript, returning to the comments in one and a half months does not delay the time. If you are not sure how good your paper is, you can try this journal. The review is really fast, so you will get the results soon, even if you get rejected, you didn’t waste much time and can still submit to another journal. Two reviewers, the first round was major revision, and the next round was minor revision, and then accepted after the revisions. Total time is about 6 months from submission to acceptance. The reviewers and the editor are responsible. After acceptance, you upload the figures and text, and then the editor will take care of everything else.
