A good journal, which is highly regarded in the field in USA. I have published two papers here so far. The first is on a forest model, which was accepted without revision. After the proof was made, I only changed a sentence, two words and a punctuation in the pdf. This is in the United States, and my advisor is very strict. Help: Two minor revisions, editor rejected the article. Should I argue?
The submission was reviewed on the same day it was submitted, and two reviewers accepted it the next day. After a month, the article was returned with two minor revisions (one reviewer even said no modifications were needed and it could be accepted as is). The editor rejected it citing the reason of insufficient sampling points. How should I argue in this situation? Has anyone successfully argued in a similar case?
