First submission was on September 14 and reviewers’ speed was relatively fast. The manuscript was returned for major revision in about 20 days. One of the reviewers asked sharp and critical questions, which indeed helped to revise the article. After supplementing experiment, it was re-submitted on October 20, and the revision was returned also in about 20 days. Then the minor revision was submitted on November 27. The editor was awesome, and it was accepted on 30 November.

There were three reviewers in total, every reviewer was very professional, and the questions raised by them were very critical. In the end, it was accepted and I was very happy about it. The editor was also very good. I hope that the journal will get better and better and the impact factor will rise again.

I did a job, submitted macromolecules, and sent it for review. I submitted to EPJ, and the reviews were similar to those of macromolecules, with one key issue that I can't address with additional experiments right now. So it has been rejected.
