The paper recommended by the CAD/Graphics conference was submitted to the journal on June 27th, with notification of acceptance on July 24th. The journal requested a graphical abstract, which could not be uploaded directly, but supplementary material types, such as videos, can be uploaded together.

After nearly a year of rejection, the first review took five months, followed by major revisions, and then a second review which also took five months before being rejected. In fact, the reviewer's comments in the second review were reasonable, except for not comparing the open-source code work in February, when I submitted the manuscript before October last year!
