BB is a good journal. The most important thing about sensor research is the potential application value, not fancy things. From personal point of view, the quality of the articles on BB are much better than ACS Sensors and SNB, including the systematic nature of its work, the feasibility of engineering realization, and even the workload of the sensor. Of course, the articles regarding the gas sensitivity are still good. LOC is not addressed here and I also decline to comment. AC is indeed a veteran TOP journal of analytical chemistry, but the journal itself is developing dynamically. To a certain extent, "tradition" is synonymous with stagnation, which has been verified in many disciplines. On the other hand, colleagues who silently publish BB rarely slander other journals. If you have research results that are worthy of respect, no one prevents you from publishing articles on sub-journals or regular journals of CNS, and surpassing yourself is the right way to progress. In addition, I would like to explain at two points. 1. The fields that BB focuses on are not only analytical chemistry. I do not agree to restrict BB to analytical chemistry. 2. As far as sensors are concerned, BB has two key qualifiers, biology and sensor. Not all analytical chemistry is a sensor, and not all analytical chemistry is related to biology. Therefore, journals have different positioning, fields, and focus. It is unnecessary to compare them. It is not recommended to slander other journals with good development momentum in public. In addition, the acceptance rate of BB in 2019 is 16%. I wish you all can publish articles on the journal you are satisfied with.

Bioinspiration & Biomimetics was a better journal than now, especially under the old editorship such as Alice Tang. Maybe due to the recent surge of submission and the need to appeal to broader authors, they recruited some editors who are not really of the caliber, such as the new editor from Korea. He is most a chemistry guy with limited scientific vision and judgement. His English also needs polish, otherwise he will pass off quite negatively. There are other bigots in the rank of (associate) editors as well.
